About Kevin Davies

22 year old Kevin Davies is just like any other young man from West Wales.  Unlike the majority however, Kevin is a naturally talented young rally driver with a great future ahead of him in the sport. 

The college student from Llanfihangel-ar-Arth is one of the most talked about young rally drivers competing in the UK at the moment.  Its not difficult to see why - Davies proved unbeatable in the Silkolene 1400 National Rally Championship in his first season, with six wins from six starts in class A5. Starting with a third in class on debut in November 2004, Davies has gone from strength to strength in collaboration with the Geoff Jones Motorsport team.  Kevin has been a regular podium finisher and pace setter in the Fiesta SportingTrophy during 2006, and will continue in the ultra competitive championship throughout 2007.

Kevin began his career on the lanes of his native West Wales, contesting a handful of rallies in a self prepared Ford Escort.  The leap to stage rallying was inevitable and Kevin has not looked back since! Not only is Kevin a dedicated driver, he also spends many hours on theory and practical work in the class room at college, where he is studying vehicle mechanics.  Kevin also possesses great speed, but mechanical sympathy and understanding are also core elements in making a good rally driver. 'KD' has them all!  During 2006, Kevin was hand selected by a panel of experts for the MSA British Rally Elite Academy.  As a result, Kevin receives expert advice and tuition from former World Rally Champions on a variety of sporting issues that relate to rallying, including fitness, mental strength, and techniques.
